Today (Sept 20, 2017) Yes – that’s the start of the Jewish New Year 5778 on the Hebrew calendar.

When is Rosh Hashanah 2017 and how is it celebrated? This year Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset on Wednesday, September 20 and ends on Friday, September 22.
